Collage for photos #180

Describe the solution you'd like...

I like using my photos in Aerial Views however individual portrait images don't look so good on TV's. Would it be possible to have a collage option for photos please?

Thank you

That is something I'm thinking about, something similar has been request a few times now - but the problem is the app doesn't know anything about an image until it loads - so it's not possible to similar images that fit together nicely.

That said, it is something I'd like to work on as Aerial Views support for photos is very basic!

That sounds great! Thank you. There is another app called "Photo Gallery and Screensaver" which does this and works but it's not great. If you do decide to go ahead with this in the future, Google Drive support would also be magnificent.

Fun fact, years ago, it was after trying that app that I searched for a screensaver that transitioned between videos smoothly which lead me to Aerial Dream! Anyway, that app basically indexes all content first which is how it's able to have collage features.

As for Google Drive support, it's not on the list at the moment but we'll see. Can I ask, how do you store photos or videos at the moment - USB or network storage?

Oh that's interesting! At the moment, I store them all on a hard drive connected to my Shield. I would love Google Drive support since all of my photos are stored there too and it would be easier to add new photos for the screensaver.

The problem that I'm struggling with at the moment is that I have quite a few photos in HEIC format from my iPhone. Android always displays them in landscape so I'm trying to figure out a way around this.
