After the newest update ,, app no longer working on nvidia shield ,, I have to restart the device to make the app working and after using the device for sometime and waiting for the app to start screensaver it didn't

Works flawlessly for me on the Shield - you might want to specify exactly which function isn't working for you. For info, I'm streaming the Apple ariel 4k DV video directly from a NAS, and works better than ever on v0.99

Hotboy1987 commented 2 years ago

I streaming directly from local usb flash drive ,, and screensaver didn't work now after this update

@Hotboy1987 can you confirm for me that the videos play remotely first? ie. enable Apple videos (remote), and disable local videos?

Also, when you enabled local videos in Any Videos > Local Videos, did it ask for permission?

Hotboy1987 commented 2 years ago

I try play videos remotely from inside the program setting and it plays normal

Yes it ask me for permission but only for the first time ,, and videos also play from local file when I test it from inside the program setting or when I go to screensaver setting and press start now ,, but it didn't start when I left the device from it self

Ok, so that's a good sign so far. It suggests that the app is working and all your videos can be seen by the app.

On the Shield, can check in Settings > Device Preferences > Screen saver and make sure that Aerial Views is selected. Also, does the 'Start now' option work?

Hotboy1987 commented 2 years ago

Yes I already checked that ,, 'start now' make screensaver play , and Aerial Views is selected

Ok, thanks - sometimes I have to run through all the basic stuff first!

The code that previews and plays the screensaver is the same, so my guess is that it's a strange configuration issue.

My advice would be...

  1. To remove Aerial Views (and Aerial Dream if it's still installed)
  2. Setup up one of built-in screensavers and confirm that works
  3. Then re-install Aerial Views, customise your settings and see if it works ok?

For some reason it worked again without my intervention

Ok, well I'll take that as a win!
