Questions about capabilities screen #27

image I am using shield tv 2019. Video output is set to 4k HDR and Dolby

  1. Is dolby vision codec supposed to be false?

  2. Is render output showing settings resolution or playback?

I just want to confirm a few basics first...

  1. On the Shield, in Settings, is Dolby Vision enabled?
  2. Have you been able to view other 4K Dolby Vision content via the Shield, and does it activate Dolby Vision mode on your TV? (usually a logo is displayed for a few seconds)

The capabilities screen is the 'best attempt' to figure out if HDR, etc is supported but it's not always accurate, sadly.

  1. Yes its enabled.
  2. Yes, all dolby vision videos(including aeriel video from this app) show logo.

You are right, just that capabilities page is showing wrong info then.

Glad to hear that 4K HDR Dolby Vision is working - apologies about the inaccurate info on the Capabilities screen, I'll be changing the wording in the next release.
