Hi Richard,
That looks great work. I'm no longer using Chef or Jetty for my day job. Would you like to become the maintainer for this recipe. I'm happy to turn this repo into a page pointing at BCS-io/chef-jetty instead.
Cheers
Theo
Well, I am still reviewing the various technologies - my aim is to get search onto my application - so the aim is solr or elastic. At this point I haven't even got Solr up! I do have jetty up - just not used it in anger.
I presume the maintainer would be the person in sole command of the code? At this point: I am happy to commit my changes so you don't have to be involved and happy to deal with any problems due to this commit.
If I use this Chef-Jetty in production I am happy to support this repo - ideally, given my knowledge, not the only person :-)
Tested using Virtualbox 4.3.8, vagrant 1.4.3, vagrant-berkshelf 1.3.7 and vagrant-omnibus 1.3.0. 64 bit Ubuntu images seem to require system hardware assisted virtualization support - but I don't know if that is just a problem for me. With this system the single command $ kitchen test ... will converge the tested nodes.
