In other words: the current playback model assumes that audio "clips" are contiguous. This is problematic in cases where some audio fragments from the stream are skipped during playback (or asides/notes audio appendices), as declaratively indicated by the SMIL "clip begin/end" of an EPUB3 Media Overlay.
