I'd love to adopt this plugin, but it's important to me that core content is accessible via GraphQL so that we aren't permanently locked into a Twig frontend. Any plans to add support for GraphQL?

Yes, GraphQL is on our roadmap and is something we are currently working on (target version release by end of Q4 2021).

FYI, we have just rolled out the GraphQL support in our new 1.1.x releases.
