HI there, I've installed the application and completed the setup, but no matter what vertical scrolling isn't being inverted. Thanks for any assistance in fixing this issue

mara-vodvarka commented 1 year ago

same here, I can install via brew, but the app doesn't even open Edit: it started working, unfortunately no idea why, the only place it doesn't swap is VLC player, thanks for the app!

bluemanos commented 1 year ago

It is working for me ;) image

Did you setup permission for this app correctly?

danielimmke commented 1 year ago

It appears to have stopped working for me as well :\

danielimmke commented 1 year ago

I double checked my settings - It's still authorized to do accessibility stuff. I also checked to see if they fixed the problem this software exists to solve and it does not look like they have. So on 13.1 It's broken for me as well. Even with alternate detection method.

Try completely uninstalling all traces of the app. Select it from the accessibility list and click the “-“ button, don’t just uncheck it and check it again. Delete the plist setting (replying on mobile otherwise I’d give a file path), then reinstall from scratch.I don’t have any other suggestions, I originally made the app for myself and I’ve been using the latest version of my app on the latest version of macOS since I first released the app. Currently that’s 1.3.0 on Ventura 13.1 on my Intel based MacBook Pro 15 at work and on my personal M1 Pro 16 inch MacBook Pro.I haven’t been able to consistently reproduce most of the issues with the app and it seems that the permissions for macOS is just a bit buggy. I have had weird stuff happen occasionally but it seemed to me that the UI might just be displaying the app in settings but it could actually be a different/copy version of the app or just loading from a cache or something (ie the settings page is misleading. Completely uninstalling the app and all configuration and installing fresh should in theory resolve any discrepancies between what’s displayed and what permissions are actually being given by the system to the app.On Jan 4, 2023, at 12:22 PM, Daniel Immke @.***> wrote: I double checked my settings - It's still authorized to do accessibility stuff. Removing the application from the "Allow the application below to control your computer" list and adding it back in got it working for me.

danielimmke commented 1 year ago

Total uninstall and reinstall seems to have fixed it for me. Thanks again for making this. I just wish Apple would go through and do a sweep for little stuff like this and just fix it all.

teraglin commented 1 year ago

Tried all of these things. Still no luck.

edi commented 1 year ago

Same here, app not working anymore after upgrade to 13.1 ... can't even start it for some reason. Tried uninstalling, then re-isntalling (even via brew), but I simply cannot open the app.

I do have crash log for this issue, I think it boils down to a problem regarding instruction set. I'm on a 2019 16 inch MB Pro.

"exception" : {"codes":"0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000","rawCodes":[1,0],"type":"EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION","signal":"SIGILL"},

Originally it was an .ips file. Github doesnt allow file type to be uploaded. UnnaturalScrollWheels-2023-01-25-095601.txt

Edit: Uninstalling the app completely doesn't work for me.

MacBook Pro M1, MacOs Monterey 12.6.2, different exception: "exception" : {"codes":"0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000102a393b4","rawCodes":[1,4339241908],"type":"EXC_BREAKPOINT","signal":"SIGTRAP"} It seems this update broke a few things. AltTab also stopped working (but it is able to startup).

edi commented 1 year ago

Seems like a full reinstall and a proper reboot has got it working like a charm now.

Confirmed. Uninstalled/installed/rebooted. Scroll wheel and Alttab all work as usual.

behu-kea commented 1 year ago

Uninstalled/installed/rebooted did not work for me

Bumping this, worked great on 13.0.1 M1 Air

uninstall / reboot / install made it work again for me! What's strange is that I have not even removed the permission before uninstallation - when I installed it again the app got back the permissions automatically.

@WeaverOfTheWeb this worked for me! Thank you @ther0n for creating this app. It's really great! YOU ARE A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING! ❤️
