On some devices, the game won't cover the entire screen, instead what you had open previously will cover the spots that the game doesn't cover (something like your homescreen)

It looks something like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/falloutshelter/comments/ismeix/question_anyone_know_how_to_get_this_to_look_half/

I have a SM A908B, I believe the resolution of my mobile device is at fault (1080x2400). According to the person on the link above, changing from button to gesture navigation helped a bit.

Switching from swipe navigation to button navigation reduces the exposed area to just the bar where the cutout exists. By going into developer options and hiding the cutout, it can completely hide the background from showing. Below are the images showing the transitions.

For reference I have a moto G power (8th gen, us) with resolution 1080x2300 before changing the settings Screenshot_20200914-083653 Screenshot_20200914-141716 Screenshot_20200914-141856

Awesome work, I'll add this into the bugs section.

Why was this issue closed? It's still shown in my device... (Pixel 4a)

JXWw3wLD9LArcR7c commented 3 years ago

Because a solution was provided and it worked for the both of us, and then it was added to the bugs section

I guess I should open it again? shrug

I've reinstalled the game on my Android phone (Galaxy A8) to check, but I don't have the issue on mine, so I won't be of much help troubleshooting. I don't really game on my phone, so I'm not aware of any common fixes or anything like that. I'll leave the mention in the bugs section as is for now until anyone discovers more information.
