is this dead?

:(

We can consider it pretty much dead. The history of wysiwyg editors shows they don't last long - I've used this one since Mozilla -> SeaMonkey -> Nvu -> Kompozer -> BlueGriffon - and they all died within a few years' period. Now only SeaMonkey is somewhat still alive, however with the basic feature set that hasn't changed for many years. I wonder if anyone will ever pick it up and continue development or is this the end of this type of software.

@lemon-juice thanks for reminding me of SeaMonkey. It seems there is some new energy, a new release in April and a beta in May of 2021

What if someone took this and forked it and started over with https://github.com/servo/servo https://servo.org/

I hope, somebody will continue this project. It's a very good tool to make paragraphs, lists, tables quickly. Currently, it works fine with HTML5.

Secure Site Not Available A HTTPS version of bluegriffon.org is not available. What could be causing this? Most likely, the web site simply does not support HTTPS. It’s also possible that an attacker is involved. If you decide to visit the web site, you should not enter any sensitive information like passwords, emails, or credit card details.

This new Browser looks nice, runs well, and even still supports my WIN XP https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68

Feodor2/Mypal68

Should your message be considered spam? I don't see any connection between the product of some "Feodor2" advertised by you and the Bluegriffon web editor.

IP-CAM commented 2 years ago

Well, I meant a new Browser, not an Editor, sorry about this ...
