If you edit the a file you're supposed to give a commit message. If you don't give a commit message you can save (commit and push) your changes. Unfortunately now, if you type a bit of text the input field for the commit message will disappear, and there's no way to get it back edit the commit message before saving. That's a huge problem especially if you forgot to enter any commit message at all. Then you're only option is to abort the edit upon which all your changes will be lost without you even getting a warning about that.
