Sequence mode issue #139

Two issues when using sequence mode:

  1. When a board is completed it doesn't take you to the next board automatically.
  2. When a board is completed the keyboard still shows the selected letters for the previous board until you tap on the next board.

Thanks for reporting, this bug should be fixed now.

Just tested it here and it's partially fixed. Not automatically scrolling to the next board when one is completed (daily & jumble both OK). Tested on two phones (Pixel 7 Pro) in normal & practice mode.

The keyboard not switching has been fixed though.

Just tried again in practice & still not scrolling automatically.

Can confirm that in the daily sequence autoscroll isn't working. Working fine in daily duotrigordle & daily jumble.

It works for me now, you may need to clear your browser's cache.

Very odd. Keyboard working fine for me now, but it's not scrolling me to the next grid. Tried in two browsers on my phone (Chrome and Firefox) so it's not due to being cached in one, especially as Firefox is set to clear its cache on close. However, it was scrolling fine on my wife's phone for her a few minutes ago.

Just tried on my laptop in two different browsers and getting the same behaviour - auto scroll not working in sequence mode, so it's not related to my phone.

The next board is scrolled into view only if that board is highlighted. You can also try using the "Hide completed boards" option to keep unsolved boards at the top.

OK, but why do daily & jumble autoscroll but the sequence doesn't anymore? Of the three it's more logical for the sequence to autoscroll because you have to complete the boards in order, but as it stands you have to manually scroll down.

None of the game modes have auto scrolling by default. However, if you click on a board to highlight it and then solve that board, the next board will be highlighted and that board will be scrolled into view. This is the case regardless of game mode.

Hi.

A day or two ago I was still baffled as to why sequence was scrolling automatically for my wife but not me. I decided to watch her do the puzzle on her phone to see for myself, and I saw that as soon as she started sequence mode she tapped the first board to bring it into focus. I didn't do this myself in sequence as you have to do them in order, but I do it in the other two modes to make the keyboard less confusing. Problem solved!
