Toggleable flag in settings page that makes a confirm prompt appear when the user is about to enter a word that is inconsistent with the puzzle they have selected(yellow highlighting). Alternatively, they could just be required to hit enter twice to proceed with entering the inconsistent word.

A clear and concise description of why you think the feature would be beneficial.
When playing at higher speeds, often the color highlighting of the inconsistent words is perceived too late and one may end up wasting guesses on words that don't have a chance of being the targeted puzzle's solution. A confirm prompt/hitting enter twice on these would provide a useful buffer to avoid these mis-inputs.
