We think that once a minute or every couple of minutes for the observers would be optimum, but note that this only needs to happen when Pan-STARRS is actively following a GW event. Mark will look at placing a file somewhere that we can easily download regularly which itself will need to be updated regularly - so note that we might end up with a race condition of the file being updated as we download it.
(Note that today the PS1 and PS2 dashboard pages have become unavailable. Waiting to see if there is a fix for this.)
Input data for coverage plots is being posted at: http://128.171.123.254:22280/ds/QUB-tests/testdownload/o4_nightobs.txt This is only accessible to the rack servers (e.g. db3). Mark is making some modifications - different directory and all the GW events will have their own coverage file. Ken will need to regularly download them to somewhere on db3/psweb so that coverage plots can be generated.
One thing the Pan-STARRS team would really like is a plot centred on the event, plus maybe an interactive plot so that we can zoom in on the coverage plot (e.g. celestial/d3).
Coverage stats have now moved to: http://128.171.123.254:22280/ds/QUB-tests/o4_nightobs/ E.g.: http://128.171.123.254:22280/ds/QUB-tests/o4_nightobs/o4_nightobs_S230627c.txt
We could scrape pointings from nightlogs, but don't really want to be running plotting code once a minute!
