Termite is obsoleted by Alacritty. Termite was a keyboard-centric VTE-based terminal, aimed at use within a window manager with tiling and/or tabbing support.
I made a termcap file that works for termite in freebsd:
# vim: noet:ts=8:sw=8:sts=0
# (untranslatable capabilities removed to fit entry within 1023 bytes)
# (sgr removed to fit entry within 1023 bytes)
# (acsc removed to fit entry within 1023 bytes)
# (terminfo-only capabilities suppressed to fit entry within 1023 bytes)

I have this saved in ~/.termcap so I can ssh to freebsd servers. Maybe that information could be added to the readme with a disclaimer. I haven't found any bugs so far, but I doubt you want to have to keep up with termcap updates.
