Guardian Node snapshot to 107% then whitescreen

Hi, after the mainnet 3.0 launch (I have v3.0.2 on a windows 10) my guardian node stopped performing validations. I restarted the node, but it failed again. So I deleted my node database and restarted it like I have done before which usually solves issues.

However, this time I get to the downloading snapshot screen and it seems to work but goes to 107% (takes about 5 mins) and then the screen goes blank. None of the buttons work although the software itself is responding (i.e. it isn't crashed, just bugged). I didn't want to mess with troubleshooting this so I uninstalled the guardian node which didn't actually remove all the files (a clean uninstaller would be nice...) and deleted the app data in the roaming and local folders in c:\users\administrator\AppData\

I don't know the registry keys to delete, if any, or whether that would help. Reinstalling caused the same issue.

What went wrong? How do I solve this? And is anyone else suffering this failure? My theta will remain unstaked until I can resolve this. Thanks,

Hey all, I still have no resolution for this problem. Are there any ideas amongst this brilliant community about how to solve it?

Did you already contact or should I say get in line with the real Theta Support? Those guys are really smart and will stay with you until your issue is solved. Once they get back to you, that is. I know it’s frustrating, but my impatience is what got me into trouble with the scam chatrooms.

I actually stake now on Gpool and am very happy with the Theta and Tfuel staking. Very easy and you can see daily updates (if you have enough staked, of course).

But start with Theta Support.

The authentic Theta Support address is @. @.>. But don’t trust any link that’s sent to you. :) Just be sure that when you find the right one it ends with thetatoken.org.

At the top right of the thetatoken.org page there are five icons of other useful information including the discord group, facebook, twitter, etc. Just press the icon and it will take you to the authentic channels.

I received the help I needed! I will attach a screenshot of the post that assisted me. There is a link in there and, to echo the good advice, do not trust any links without verification. In that case, visit the discord channel for theta to verify first hand. The solution was to download the snapshot file and replace my existing one. The link provided took me to a page which showed another link, which I pasted into the url and that caused me to download the most recent snapshot file. Replacing my old snapshot file, I then synched to the network overnight and voila, I could stake again!
