Can't sync #70

I'm trying to run theta guardian node in CLI mode on Ubuntu 20.04. It used to work. Now I can't get it to sync. I'm getting many of each of the errors listed below with various ip addresses. Why is this and how do I get synchronized? What are the closed networks and why?

Connection error: write tcp 192.168.1.40:33998->18.217.234.19:21000: write: broken pipe Error during handshake/recv: EOF Error during handshake/recv: read tcp 192.168.1.40:35888->73.229.97.169:26410: i/o timeout Error during handshake/recv: read tcp 192.168.1.40:37740->73.25.27.1:10203: read: connection reset by peer Error during handshake/recv: read tcp 192.168.1.40:41998->76.28.154.108:32354: read: connection reset by peer Failed to close connection: close tcp 192.168.1.40:52354->34.83.204.5:21000: use of closed network connection Failed to handshake with peer, error: EOF Failed to handshake with peer, error: read tcp 192.168.1.40:39514->90.243.38.58:19353: i/o timeout Failed to handshake with peer, error: read tcp 192.168.1.40:41998->76.28.154.108:32354: read: connection reset by peer HandlePeerWithErrors, lookedUpPeerRemoteAddress: 35.230.172.8:21000 HandlePeerWithErrors, peerRemoteAddress: 35.230.172.8:21000 recvRoutine: failed to decode packet: , error: EOF recvRoutine: failed to decode packet: , error: read tcp 192.168.1.40:52354->34.83.204.5:21000: read: connection reset by peer sendRoutine error: write tcp 192.168.1.40:52354->34.83.204.5:21000: write: broken pipe

ahh... ok. these telegram links seem to go to empty channels.

theta version: Version 2.2.0 783f0c5fe3e05baf9483b11cef7732f28c05e46f Built at Mon Mar 1 19:50:12 UTC 2021

I reinstalled it today after not running it for a while. I was thinking that I should get the latest version.

??? I'm logged in to telegram. I see content in the groups that I've joined. I have a username. Maybe I just don't get telegram. And if I click on your link I get a telegram message "Username @thethetanetworksupport not found". But OK. I just re-installed things today from the install script. The theta line is this: curl -k --output bin/theta curl -k 'https://mainnet-data.thetatoken.org/binary?os=linux&name=theta' I assumed that it got the latest.

Where is this newer version?

You've listed three different links:

http://www.t.me/thesupporttheta http://www.t.me/thethetanetworksupport http://www.t.me/thethetanetwork

Anyone else here?

Not related to my issue but I noticed that this scammer is related to issue #69 ("trying to steal funds"). Edwards6432 sounds like the same person under a different name.

But I was thinking about the 'closed network' error message. Maybe the theta executable needs to know that I have over 1000 theta. I do, but how do I communicated that to the network. When I first ran this in December I didn't run into this problem.
