talkback and nexus5 google now not listening when a user has talkback enabled

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable talkback, two put your phone down and attempt to say "Okay google". 
Google now's always listening feature seems to be disabled because on my nexus5 
nothing happens 
2. Now after TB "talkback" is disabled, go back to the home screen, open google 
search and say okay google!.  Nothing happens, it seems when accessibility is 
enabled from the set-up screen the always listening feature is disabled.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When talkback "TB" is enabled I want to see happen, "key word, Okay google!" 
from the home screen or google search and then hear the google chime to give me 
assign that its listening for my next command.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
KitCat nexus5 unlocked from google play store

Please provide any additional information below.
Hi talkback devs, please fixed the issue that causes the listen always feature 
to be disabled when accessibility is present.

i have this problem as well running nexus 5 on t-mobile and talkback 3.5.1 and 
kitkat 4.4.2.
