[minor issue] Monster Hunter Portable 3 with RemoteJoyLite plugin problem #286

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable RemotyJoyLite plugin for 6.20 cfw
2. Run Monster Hunter Portable 3
3. Start any mission/cutscrene with "Qurupeco" monster as the target.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game freezes, PSP shuts down afterwards.
It should run smoothly without freezing or shutting down

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

PSP 3004 3G with 6.20 PRO-B9 (not Nightly)
Default CFV configuration
RemoteJoyLite plugin for 6.20 cfw

Please provide any additional information below.

Rest of the game, any other mission, cutscene, movie works perfectly fine while
this plugin is enabled. Only this one particular monster causes the game to
crash in each mission and cutscrene in which it's present.

This issue doesent occur while the plugin is disabled.

I'm attaching the plugin file.

As I progressed further through the game the same issue occured in some other
missions - usually when there's more than one monster on the stage at once.

I'd disable ISO Cache if you want to use RJL since I've had this issue before.
If that doesn't fix it, then MS Speedup should be disabled as well, which I
never used. I don't use RJL anymore so it's not an issue for me anymore.

Unfortunatelly disabling iso cache or changeing the iso driver did not help
(I'm not using MS speedup at all - it's disabled by default).

PS: I'm generally using RJL to use a seperate gaming pad since my PSP's analog
stick is broken.

What other plugins do you use besides RJL? There are other plugins that use a
lot of memory. This also can be RJL's problem too. I'll check it out later
whenever I have the time.

I disable all other user plugins when using RJL. I also disabled the pops
plugin and some other settings that shouldnt affect PSP3K (the screen color
setting for PSP 1K/2K and another only for PSP Go - but I tried it before with
those enabled by default).

Because most of thegame runs perfect on this plugin it might just be a minor
glitch or the extra ammount of memory needed is really small (less than one
monsted object since multiple encounters with more than 1 monster work fine
too).

I can write down all the moments when the problems occur - if that would help
in any way.

Naw. I don't think writing down all the moments that the problem occured if
it's too long. It could be a glitch too D=

Just updated to 6.20PRO-B10.fix1 .
It seams this issue got fixed, but I'll run some more tests just to verify if
it's 100% functional now.

High memory unlock in PRO-C.fix3 increased compatibility with RemoteJoyLite
plugin even further.
