Creation of website and scrambler teams for preserving history

  • WCA Scrambles Team was still a thing (name change).

  • The WCA Scrambler Team was renamed to WCA Software Team.
  • WCA Website Team and WCA Software team were led by Jeremy.

  • The two teams merge and we start our member history. (This was the point these started to pull from the database and the history is kept from what I can tell).

After discussion with the @thewca/board, we think the best course of action would be to have 2 teams created (A website team and a scrambler team), which would not be active teams anymore (possibly a hidden team would work without any major code changes?) that have the history more closely followed.

From my conversations with Tim, He was more of a Board representative and less working on the website, with Stefan Pochmann doing the leg work.

Proposed Actions:

• Create a WCA Website team, which would be from 2012-09-19 to 2016-01-20.
  • Tim Reynolds would be the leader from 2012-09-19 to 2014-12-19 (demotion from board).
  • Stefan Pochmann would be a member from 2012-09-19 to ???(2016-01-20?).
  • Jeremy Fleischman would be the leader from 2015-11-28 to 2016-01-20.
• Create a WCA Scrambler Team, which would be from 2014-02-08 to 2016-01-20.
  • Jeremy Fleischman would be the leader from 2014-02-08 to 2016-01-20.
• The WCA Software team that we currently have would start on 2016-01-20.
  • Members of WST before 2016-01-20 should be moved to one or both teams until the 2016-01-20 date. This includes Gaël, Sébastien, Tim H., Jeremy, Lucas, Pedro.
  • There are also a lot of start dates around 2016-03-25, which could have been a potential side affect of the two teams merging. I think it is quite possible that the people with dates before this were a part of the scrambler team, and the people with starting dates around 2016-03-25 were a part of the website team.

Tagging @jfly and @timreyn for input on above dates / memberships (especially the "Members of WST before 2016-01-20" bullet). I understand that we probably wont get close to perfect with this history, but I think this creation will correct a lot of what is currently amiss.

This lists me and Jeremy as overlapping as leader for a year. Is that desired?

I don't think I should be a leader of the website team past my resignation from the Board, based on my role as a Board representative rather than an explicit leader. My role on the website team should end (at latest) the same day as my Board tenure ended. That was in December 2014 (not sure exactly what day you have that listed currently, but I'll trust that rather than digging up emails again).

I fixed that to aleast the dates that were mentioned in the background (must have put the wrong one originally)
