If you select multiple ships sometimes it gets stuck in a state where it wants to store the outfits in the cargo even if you have multiple ships selected.
Steps to Reproduce
Double click on a set of ships.
Double click on a different set of ships
The current ship info is gone, with just the "cargo space:" label, and even though the disposition dropdown says "install in ship", any items bought will end up in cargo.
If you select a single ship, then double click on that same ship, you get the expected behavior.
Expected Behavior
The ship info will show whatever ship you double-clicked on, and the behavior matches the disposition dropdown.
