Menu not available with historic navigation in sidebar

If you set the navigation to 'linear', it is possible to set the table of contents. Is it posible to add the table of contents also in the historic view (side bar and normal)?

@ingedonke I think 'linear with historic back button' might be what you are after. I've thought about this before and would like there to be a better way of letting people decide exactly what is on the footer bar rather than having to decide using just the pre-set 'navigation' drop down menu options. For example, we could have several options instead of just one navigation drop down:

• back button: linear / historic
• table of contents: on / off
• separate menu page: on / off
• home button: on / off
• page numbers on footer bar on / off

This would allow people much more flexibility

@FayCross @ingedonke just a quick comment that the difference between the Historic option and Linear with Historic isn't only if and what buttons appear. From memory I think the Linear with Historic option has a back button that is more dynamic in it's behaviour e.g. if you arrive at a particular page from a link on an earlier page then the back button is historic but if not then it's linear. That's not the case with the Historic option where it always goes back to the table of contents or a single designated page regardless. If we were changing all this or adding options I think we would need to cover this difference.
