I noticed this behavior every time I performed a MiSTer OS update (through update_all.sh) in the past year.
My Wi-Fi adapter is "TP-Link TL-WN725N", and I used this procedure to make it work with MiSTer: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?p=10006#p10006
Every time a new version of the MiSTer OS is installed, I notice that some files relating to my Wi-fi adapter are deleted:
/lib/modules/4.19.0-socfpga-r1/rtl8188eu.ko
/lib/firmware/rtlwifi/rtl8188eufw.bin
Thus, after a reboot, the Wi-Fi adapter no longer works and requires a manual fix to put back the deleted files.
Hi! This is because the new Linux version doesn't contain that driver. I don't maintain Linux, but Sorgelig does, and he might add them if you ask him.
