Create a full thin-edge demo based on real usecases

I am planning to build a full demo to show the capability of Child devices. Roshan Proposed me the following

• When the child agent sits on the main device itself and abstracts everything.
• With a mock child device agent running on separate child device ( can easily be developed in python)
• Approach it with Cloud-first thinking - creating digitial twin, deploy software and configure.
• Developed in way so that in future can be extended to showcase capabilities as we develop e.g. OTA for child devices etc.
• A HowTo associated with it.

A demo to showcase OTA capabilities for thin-edge device.

• thin-edge itself updating using debian repo( probably of cumulocity itself).
• Update custom plugins developed and running on thin-edge.io- you can use some of the custom plugins already developed ( check out youtube video)
• A HowTo associated with it.

Getting out our Yockto compatability with all documentation and samples as necessary

• Work with inetum guys to get it all aligned so that it is available as a product capability`

Findings:

• Start with first 2 topics as a basis, others are not fully available yet.
• Add more capabilities/extend later/when available
• Stay in close contact with Didier and Andrej as they are in contact with customer
• Have a physical object (for demo purposes) I.e. Wind turbine o i.e. House with sensors (https://www.hansboef.nl/monitor-a-process-with-cumulocity-and-open-source-technology/) o Microcontroller (Arduino like) in house can act as child device, sensors and actors are connected to this microcontroller (Arduino like). o Example, when rain sensor detects water, door and window will be closed
• Choice of use raspberry Pi in Dusseldorf or local ( preferably local)
• Team is able to help, mention in daily stand-up
• Create (sub-) HowTo and workshop material
• Use this for CFP example

Next week 16-17/11 in Hamburg, decide which usecase to be used. Important is that the usecase is flexible to change to another use case based on the audience. Andrej will check who owns the robot arm demo
