Ned's suggestion:

"Should ear-bytes be tagged in some way such as a cmw or CBOR tag that enables the downstream parser to determine which encoding schema to use to decode it?"

IIUC, the gist of Ned’s suggestion is to reuse the cmw CDDL for raw-evidence rather than aliasing ear-bytes to cmw.
