My email is musketeerchess (a) gmail.com

Please mail me for discussion

hello friends, got interest recently in chess, variants and problems. Discovered your work and for first time the programs for chess problems. Find it fantastic tool. Wanted to know if possible to have / add other pieces not programmed.

I like seirawan chess (pieces on your program) musketeer chess (pieces not on your program)

Thank youmfor considering this request

Hi Raphael

Thanks for your kind words!

I assume that including Seirawan Chess and Musketeer Chess if only we knew what these terms mean.

The official way is to start one issue per request. This #276 seems to be intended for Musketeer Chess; so if somebody could post the definition of Musketeer Chess and some problems using this fairy condition, somebody might have a go at it.

Hello I’m in fact speaking about musketeer chess, a chess variant where many new pieces were added.

Some information about the pieces are here: Https://www.musketeerchess.net and here https://github.com/fsmosca/musketeer-chess

There is also an interesting tool there to edit diagrams: https://musketeerchess.net/tools/boardpainter/

The inventor of musketeer chess made problems and endgames (very simple) to show the pieces and some tactics.

His email is musketeerchess(a)gmail.com

Some diagrams from website concerning piece rules. Some of them are programmed as they are old fairy pieces. Many new interesting ones are missing. The names used for some known pieces are: dragon or amazon (queen knight) Chancellor (knight rook) Archbishop (bishop knight) Unicorn (knight + camel)

The other pieces are : leopard, musketeer cannon, fortress, spider, hawk, musketeer elephant

Arrow = jump, can capture on target square

Circle = sliding move if unoccupied. Can capture on target square

One issue per request, please. Let's restrict this issue to Musketeer Chess.

[minutes later]

Oh, it still is about Musketeer Chess. What a messy Chess Variant!

Again: please post simple example problems with the intended solution and somebody might have a go at it.

Hi Thomas, I have a bigger request than what was asked for here. Is it possible to make popeye add fairy pieces that are easy additions of Leapers, Riders ?

These pieces could either added using for example Ralph Betza Notation or being directly built by entering their rules in a diagram.
