I too am experiencing the same exact issue.
Also the weirdest thing is that it prompts when an incoming call comes in.
But outgoing calls do not work. When i dial using outcall, my extension rings.
When i pick up i hear the message "goodbye"

I have this issue - using Vista SP1 and either outcall 1.5 or 1.55. No password
is
asked for the extensions, and the system won't dial. I see nothing on the
asterisk CLI
other than the manager is logged in, so presume this is internal to outcall and
stopping even a call attempt.
The error is an issue with Extensions/Settings.
"Originate Failed! Please check your extensions in Settings->Extensions, and
make sure
you are using the right one in the 'Dial From' select box."

Checkout the version with authentication on download page. We have removed
authentication because it was not possible to authenticate extensions defined
as 'peer' in Asterisk.
As for the "Originate failed" issue, it is fixed in the new version which will
be released soon.
When your phone rings, and you hear 'goodbye' message, it means that OutCALL
has placed the call correctly, and you should check CLI because obviously this
is some Asterisk configuration issue.
