Check if you have an integration with no name, just an empty entry in the list.
If you do, make sure you also got the hidden directory custom_components/favicon/.translations/
in the right place.
i have all the files in the correct position: and
and no, there was no empty slot in the list, as far as I could see.
For the sake of it I tried to type fav in the search box and this is what popped up:
I then entered my objective name and path to the icon as in the video
page title: Ha Z-wave
and icon path /local/favicons/green
but nothing happening unfortunately.
The same video also shows how the icons folder should look
Ok sorry about that, missed the dedicated icons...
Added them now via the tool you supplied, and left out the android icons, since I do not use that.
Still no icon appears in the safari tab. I've adjusted the path to what is described in your text:
/local/favicons/
(note that the video points to /local/favicons/green , which got me confused at first, seems a typo?)
really sorry to bother you, and I must be missing the obvious here. Don't know what to look for though now.
edit I do get a browser icon in Chrome, and can add it to the home screen of my iPhone. so progress is made
what is even stranger is that when clicking the browser address bar in Safari, I see this, for all my 3 HA instances, while Ive only set the CC up on the Z-wave instance:
Might Safari not be fully compatible with this CC, or vice versa? Or do I have a bug here.
closing this, as I have successfully installed favicon on 3 instances now, the issue above was a combination with Custom Header, and under the attention of the author. thanks!
after having installed the custom component in its correct folder and the icons in the www folder, and having restarted the HA instance, there is no integration favicon in the integrations list.
not sure what to post since I don't have errors.
