You saying that it hasn't been an issue in the past is actually a compliment, since there has been spam now and then, but apparently we've caught it early enough :)
There are no moderation tools, that is correct. Usually, when I see spam, I go straight into the database and delete it, but from time to time Daniel notices it first and moves it into the past, so it doesn't show in the feed.
It's not an optimal solution, since I'm not around all the time. I really want a report button, a moderation queue and a delete/hide option for mods, but I haven't come around to implement any of that. Maybe soon I will :)
Actually, I found some time yesterday to write some code and now we have a better moderation mechanism, allowing us to hide spam. If this shouldn't suffice, we'll add more mods.
FYI, this spam event was created recently and I "cancelled" it https://osmcal.org/event/2683/
Hi Tom and team,
Recently, a spam event ended up on osmcal. since this seems to have never been an issue in the past, given that I can't see any active moderators. I was wondering if there are tools available to delete events like these now and in the future as well.
Thanks, -SherbetS (James Crawford)
