(SketchUp) CityGen building generator plugin #4

Thanks ThomThom, and a few others, for the work you have put into this plugin. Even in it's unfinished state it is still very useful for generating streets in SketchUp 7 and then porting the model back to a current SKU version. The building generator module doesn't work, There seems to be a missing folder for the bldg_gen.rb and I wonder if anyone has managed to get the building generator to work?

It would be so good to get this/these plugin(s) working well as there seems to me to be a big hole in the area of city generation tools for SKU that don't cost an arm or a leg. Most of the interesting projects that I have come across in this area have all been discontinued. Can I encourage any Ruby coders to look at this and get it working and add in some extras like sidewalks etc.

I don't think bldg_gen.rb needs or ever had a folder... @ChrisFullmer - was it you that worked on the building generator? You recall the details? Looking briefly at the rb file it looks to be adding menus - or at least it should be...

@Citelim, when you say it doesn't work, can you elaborate? Missing menus? Startup errors?

I have the bldg_gen.rb file in the citygen folder along with city_gen.rb which I think is in the correct place. I have no errors when SKU loads but I can find no menu. I only have these menus - Tools/City Generator/Streets/Generate, and Define Types. Should there be a Building/Generate in this same menu? While I'm typing this I'm wondering if I should download your zipfile from github and reinstall the plugin? I originally got this working after some trial and error following the links and posts in SketchUcation. Maybe I have a wrong set of code.

Well that's interesting - now I do have a load error after replacing the plugins from the zipfile you've put on github. 2016-02-24 08_52_29-untitled - sketchup I do notice that the city_gen.rb in your zipfile is version 0.1.2a while the "working" version I'm using is 0.1.3a. I tried swapping my version into yours and I get the same SKU load error. I can possibly send you my file set.

I didn't add any ZIP file. I'm guessing your are downloading the full repository that GitHub generates?

I'm not sure why the version is different, but it could indicate the repository wasn't up to date with what was released. Could you upload the 0.1.3 somewhere? Maybe there is stuff there that ought to be pushed back.

I downloaded from the GitHub Download Zip button which gave me all the same folder and files you listed. I'm not sure how to use github to upload this. I only know that I can upload into this post etc. Should I put it on my Dropbox and give a link? I could put my working set of CityGen somewhere. Help please.
