Shut down doesn't work #23

In the exit menu of the BigPicture mode, 3 options doesn't work (Shut down, Restart and sleep mode). It does nothing aside from a little bit of loading.

Any idea?

I've tried Restart here and seems to be working... could you please say me your configuration (OS version and etc)?

I7-2600, GTX-650 with xorg-edgers driver 331.38.

Do you need more informations?

Just an update to let you know a was mistaken about the sleep mode: It works. It's the shutdown and the restart that doesn't.

I saw you posted you distribution version above. I have the same and it's working fine for me.

What are the files related to the shutdown and reboot options? I mean, should I ping the Thor27 repository at a higher priority? I installed it twice with Ubuntu 13.10 and Xorg-Edgers on 2 diffrent systems and I get the same results. Am I overwrting files that are required for the Steam Desktop to work well?

There is no file related to that, this is something that is between steam itself and your distro/machine.

Can you test if those options works when using steam big picture on Unity?

Never tought of this one. I never use Steam Big Picture in Unity. To give you an answer, it doesn't work either. I guess I'll have to adress the problem to Steam directly.

Last point, and it is really minor, there is no sound during the intro at the launching of the desktop... Is there anything I can do about it?
