OBP has been receiving requests from reviewers to be recognised for their contributions.
One way to do that is to allow their contribution as a reviewer to be registered in the ORCiD account.
CrossRef includes Contributor types "reviewer" and "reviewer-external" - and, when an ORCiD exists allows that record to be uploaded to the reviewers ORCiD account.
"The Crossref auto-update process is granted from a message within your ORCID Inbox. The request is sent to your ORCID Inbox after a publisher submits a new work to Crossref, with your ORCID iD embedded in the metadata."

(may be worth double-checking with CrossRef that all contributor roles are submitted to ORCiD, when an ORCiD is provided, and that this happens by default or whether we/the publisher has to register or be registered as a 'trusted partner')
By adding "Reviewer" or "External Reviewer" as a contributor type within Thoth, and then including that within the CrossRef submission, we would be facilitating & encouraging public recognition of reviewers for all Thoth publishers.
