There isn't a way to crouch, hold shift, and move to the right #113

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a stock map.
2. Test the map.
3. Crouch, hold shift, and hold "D" simultaneously.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should move to the right, be crouched, and have your gun lowered. Instead,
you continue in the previous direction.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.18 Official
Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium

Are you using a standard keyboard or a gaming keyboard with anti-ghosting?

Hi,

I'm afraid I can't replicate this issue on a standard keyboard, everything
seems to be working as it should.

I'm still having issues with it. I'm using a standard QWERTY keyboard. I also
forgot to mention that it happens only in said order.

I also can'r repro any problem with C + Shift + D. You should only have the
gun drop when running and when crouching the game considers it as walking so if
you expect to see the gun stay lowered it will not happen. If you do something
like crouch and hold D and then also press W or A, you will continue to move
right until you release the D key.

BUT

If you are walking and use a peek key and crouch all at the same time, you
can't change direction with mouselook.
W + Q + C (and hold all three while trying to steer with mouse)

You can also "super-crawl"
W + Shift + C (hold all three)

I'm pretty sure those I listed are key ghosting issues though.

I meant to say W + Q + Shift + C for super crawl.
Also W + Q + Shift will make the player "glide" for lack of a better term.
