Simple fix to detect when we try and create a Project or a SourceControl instance with blank parameters and bubble the error up to the flash notice.

This was puled in as part of foomip's massive pull request. Sorry for taking so long for someone to respond. I just got access to the project. Thanks for the pull request! Requests in the future will be responded to quicker!
