Semicolon button stops working after switching files #7

Switching files causes semicolon button to no longer type. It still sends cursor to the end of the line, but I can no longer type a semicolon until I reload VS Code completely.

There's another post from 2018 with the same problem, not sure if it was resolved then. Posting again in case.
