CognosNT process stalls with disk activity around 90% #1

OS: Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.608 Storage media: SSD

After launching Fast WinDirStat, selecting drives, the CognosNT window opens and stalls at what appears to be 30%, at which point the disk usage stays at around 90%. Only way out is to kill the CognosNT process, which then makes WinDirStat run its usual analysis in a few seconds.

I've tried it in a VM and the CognosNT process doesn't even seem to do anything, its window also does not show up when launching Fast WinDirStat.

Can you send a copy of your MFT?

Can you send a copy of your MFT?

Sure, is mft2csv fine or is there another, better way of doing it? mft2csv output is a bit too big for github, even compressed (around 30 mb).

I decided to do it the other way around. I will create a diagnostic tool to be run on your machine. Developing this tool will require several days. Please provide your e-mail address, where to send the tool.

sure, it's my username @ hotmail

I should have tested this earlier, but I just noticed that CognosNT only stalls on my System drive, every other drive works fine.
