I ran into this same error when my installation method in Kali (2020.2) was sudo apt install routersploit
. (Looks like a similarly reported error in issue #673).
However, following the Installation on Kali Linux docs resolved the issue for me. The most logical explanation for me is that Kali's packaged version does not yet have a fix available here on master.
To repo the maintainers: I recommend closing this issue, and for above-and-beyond bonus points; prompting Kali package maintainers to consume a release with this fix.
