Old issue, but basically every normal SMB1 code should work with this ROM.
Btw, that code sets address $1C28 to $AA. Without this code, World 07 Area AA (underwater 8-3) crashes and holds a note. With it, it's playable. Disabling the code afterwards doesn't seem to hang the game.
Contrary to popular belief, that code doesn't prevent all crashes, but somehow YEAAAA causes many crashes.
This is not necessarily anything wrong with the hack, but rather the levels themselves. Kosmic had used some sort of a GG code where he referred to it as "Anti-Crash", so that if things crashed in the level, having it on would be able to bypass that.
The code he used was

. Does that also work for this patch, or does something of a similar nature already exist for the hack?
