I think there is a zos base image that already uses kernel 6.1.32 but I am not sure if that is now the default or not. May be @maxux can confirm if we can use this now.
i will also move this to the proper repo
Default release uses kernel 6.1.52
, just reboot the node to update to this kernel version.

I had a look at node 29 and the current kernel is linux 5.10 which released on 2020-12-13 5.10 is LTS and usually only important bugfixes are applied to such kernels and they don't usually see very frequent releases, especially for older LTS tress.
There are three releases under long-term maintenance newer than the one we use, versions 6.6, 6.1 and 5.15. I suggest to get the most stable and most secure kernel into zos. latest LTS is 6.6 which released on 2023-10-29.
After checking the changes (for example 5.15 have a lot of networking fixes), I expect more stable networking and performance improvements for zos bumping the kernel.
