Importing Git project from repo doesn't attach/share project to the repo #83

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Import project using Import > Git > Git repository
2. Need to then create a project using generic wizard and pointing at location
created by first
step
3. Then need to right-click project and choose Team > Share Project... to hook
the project up to
the repo.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would have expected the initial import to perform the next 2 steps I had to
perform manually. It
is highly unintuitive for the user to need to do these additional steps when
compared with similar
functionality from CVS/SVN providers (where you basically just add the repo and
then check out).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.4.0 on Mac OS X 10.5

Please provide any additional information below.

0.4.0 is old, though we have not yet declared a new stable version.

We need the build number for the plugin, i.e 0.4.0.2009... The latest version
imports
and .projects and enabled the plugin on the projects.

For creating new projects there is the issue of what the UI would look like.
Typically
a repository contains more than one eclipse project. The CVS plugin only works
for
creating one project.

I filed a bug at eclipse.org for what I think may be the same issue:

281394: Clone -> New project in one wizard

It's another one. I think we fixed this one long before this issue was raised.
