Export all messages of a virtual folder to html with attachments and index - missing messages folder #509

Hi Christopher,

using the german locale there is a missing "Nachrichten" folder when exporting all messages of a folder with attachments and index in html-format.

The messages are all copied in the chosen export folder. But the html-index is searching the messages in a subdir called "Nachrichten". Therefore the links in the index are not working.

@Thorsten-Nutzer Thanks for the post. I just did a double check with v14.0.1 running with the de locale. I did an export of all messages to HTML format with attachments and index. I did this with my test inbox so "Posteingang". This generates the following structure :

Posteingang_20231205-1230 (container with folder name, date and unique suffix) Nachrichten (folder with messages) index.html (index with links to messages in Nachrichten

So my structure and index links all work as expected. Can you describe the exact structure you are getting? @cleidigh

Hi Christopher,

yes this seems to be a specific problem. If you do the export proceedure for a normal folder things are just doing fine.

I tried the export for a virtual folder, created by the search function "ctrl + shift + F". And for some reason the export of emails in a virtual folder come up with this missing "Nachrichten"-folder.

I think it is really useful to safe specific search results in a "stand alone" html export folder for archive purposes.

@Thorsten-Nutzer Ahhh, a virtual folder, I bet I know it's an issue that I had to deal with changes to VF views. I will look into it and report back. Danke, good catch! @cleidigh

@Thorsten-Nutzer Yup. Just reproduced it under the en locale so it's not locale related. I am slow walking a v14.0.2 maintenance release so I can address this in the next beta. @cleidigh

This resolves the creation of the Nachrichten subfolder. Christopher

Hi, Christopher, yes, I did, installed it - and after 10 minutes lost all of my e-mail data. That was quite a shock. But after all, I think that was because I was fooling around with the virtual folders too much and did not fully understand the concept of these folders. So I started reading the manual... But now I made a new attempt with the new beta, created a test v-folder and exported all the mails to "html with index and attachments". Everything seems to be ok now.
