@bpgannon The import mbox is greyed out for imap folders. You can't directly import to imap folders, you import to a Local folder and can then copy as needed. @cleidigh
"you import to a Local folder and can then copy as needed."
What does that mean?
@maniac-0s Since you can't import mboxes to imap folders, you create an import folder under Local Folders first and import there. After you copy whatever folders or messages to the imap server. @cleidigh
Even in the Feed folder, the "ImportExportTools NG > Import mbox Files" menu is grayed out. It was not greyed out in v12.0.4.
@cleidigh Is this behavior intended or a bug?
@EarlgreyPicard Thanks for the post. I'm not clear about what you mean as a "Feed" folder, do you mean a news feed? The only folder type can and should allow mbox imports is a folder under Local Folders. Otherwise a network account would be overloaded syncing. I would have to go back, but I would be surprised if it was ever possible or worked. What are you trying to do? @cleidigh

This refers to an account with the default name "Blogs & News Feeds".

I understand why an IMAP account wouldn't allow imports, but feeds wouldn't be synced and I think it's basically the same as POP.

It worked in v12.0.4, so I just wanted to check if it was a feature or a bug. I received a question in the Japanese forum below. https://forums.mozillazine.jp/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22640
@EarlgreyPicard It looks like I can enable mbox imports on rss feed accounts. NNTP will not work.
So for the next release I will do this. Can you let the users on the Japanese forum know? @cleidigh
When I right click a folder and choose the ImportExportTools extension, I can click every option except for "Import MBOX files" That option is greyed out.
