The notification system is designed to be both smart and respectful. Here’s how it works behind the scenes:

Custom-Tailored Notifications: The notifications you see are tailored to your profile. The system considers your locale, Thunderbird version, and operating system, ensuring that the messages you receive are relevant.
Controlled Frequency: You won’t be bombarded with notifications. Thunderbird contacts our server occasionally (not too often!) and retrieves notifications relevant to you. The frequency and scheduling are carefully managed to ensure the system isn’t intrusive.
Dynamic Display Timing: To avoid overwhelming all users at once, the system can stagger the release of notifications. So, while one user might see a notification today, another user might see it tomorrow—making it a seamless experience for everyone.
