When searching across the mailbox it is not visible in which folders the mails are e.g. Inbox, Sent, Trash.

Suggested solution

Add a label for the folder of the mail in search results e.g. Inbox, Sent, Trash.

The folder name is displayed at the bottom of the message details screen.

I don't think the folder name is important enough to warrant adding it to the message list (which is already complex enough). We do have plans to improve search so it can be limited to a set of folders. See #4513.

The folder is shown as a small label next to search results on Outlook for Android. Coming from this client, this omission is a deal-breaker to me. It helps tremendously when cleaning up emails for a given topic, mostly to know which email is already in the trash and which isn't.

When I switched to K-9 Mail, I was surprised to see how "devolved of information" the message list is, and I think power users will have issues switching over because of that. I hope you can reconsider in the future. Thank you!
