Problem you are trying to solve

I only occasionally use this and never noticed it was not in K9, but would be nice for both K9 and Thunderbird.

Be able to select multiple messages and move, or re-file to another folder.

Suggested solution

add the re-file option when multiple messages are selected

Both K-9 Mail and Thunderbird for Android support moving multiple messages from a regular folder. However, this functionality is currently not supported in the unified inbox. This is already tracked under #5709.
