I have no idea what to do, the website and r2modman keeps giving me errors after windows 10 forced an update on my PC. #997

I was able to download some mods for lethal company a while ago, Until I restarted my pc and an update was forced onto it. I suspect the update is the cause of it. The mod manager simply gives an error of "error, failed to download [mod name]" Network error. This happens for any and all mods/updates that I try. The website is also broken, images won't load and hitting "manual download" results in an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. I have attempted to do every possible fix for that particular error but nothing is working. I have used a different browser which also doesn't work. Any other site or program like youtube/discord works perfectly fine. It is ONLY thunderstore and I don't know why!

I will attach this as well, incase it is helpful.

This error is caused by ISP firewalls blocking the CDN. This is an issue to bring up with your ISP. On Spectrum you can disable the Security Shield to get around this. I found an entry for gcdn.thunderstore.io in my blocked log on my Spectrum app.

Ah, I see. That makes more sense now. Thanks for the info!

MythicManiac commented 10 months ago

From my understanding this has been cleared at least on the Spectrum side, but if you're using some other ISP you might want to check for similar settings and/or contact your ISP's customer support.

Closing as this isn't something we can really do anything about directly, but feel free to re-open if something new turns up.

I'm on Bell ISP. I can't load the site here in Ontario, Canada. I can't download the mods either from the manager itself. Constantly failing with the HTTP 524 "A Timeout Occurred" error. Why would it be an ISP issue? Cause I've been using your site + mod manager for months yet this doesn't work today of all days? It doesn't make any sense. I'm stuck at importing 7% but it won't continue and after a bit it'll show this error. Is there anyway I can load the mod profile without using your servers? image

The servers seem to be down at the moment, not related to this issue

Can confirm we had several hours of degraded performance last night which resulted in connections being slow or dropped entirely, which is what the 524 error would indicate.
