Strong GPL3 license really required? #2

I am uncertain if I should start investigating/using this framework for personal use.

GPL3 is very strong.

If I would want to publish/share my automations to bypass the unnecessary learning curve of the new "visual-languages" of HA or node-red I would have to put them onto GPL3 too.

What is the reason for GPL3? Is it really needed?

The NodeJS-Home-Assistant-Framework project has ended and been replaced by the Thing Werks IoT Framework which under active development and Creative Commons Zero. What licensing would you prefer?

If you would like to use ThingWerks IoT, we will be happy to assist you in getting it started so that the documentation will be sufficient for others to get started also.

Also, you can find the 3D models of our electronics enclosures that we use here: https://www.printables.com/@thwerks_786690/models

Our solar power control module is being developed now and will be shared when its workable.
