Quick agenda doesn't show Astrid tasks in AWP 2.1.4 #377

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create widget with "Android agenda widget plus"
2. Configure button to show "Quick agenda"
3. Click on this button - quick agenda doesn't show any events/tasks.

The free version works perfectly fine.

It works for me and all the testers, so I am going to need a little more
information.

Have you enabled calendars in the quick agenda settings? (it should do it
automatically, perhaps something has gone wrong there)

Thanks for a quick replay! Sorry, but I can't find these "quick agenda
settings" anywhere. The problem most likely is that I don't use Google
calendar, but Funambol. However, as I mentioned already the free version of
this widget works fine.

Depending on your device, you might have to use the hardware "menu" in the
quick agenda popup button to get the preferences, does that help?

If the calendars show in the widget, they can show in the popup

If I click on the calendar top right button in quick agenda it crashes. I've
just sent a crash report.

Oke I've been able to access menu of quick agenda, and set "Use widget
settings" and "Use widget data sources". Now calendar events are there, but not
astrid tasks.

The calendar button isn't your hardware menu button :P

That button is supposed to go to todays date, which it can't do because there
is no events. Will fix this crash though.

Do the tasks have a date?

This might be a bug, or it might be that tasks are treated a little differently
in the popup (no deadline tasks are always at the top)

Do the tasks have a date? Yes, and they displayed correctly in the widget. I
disabled filters in the "quick agenda widget" as well.

Can you please try disabling "use widget data sources" and select astrid and
set your calendars manually?

I've just done that - no changes. I'm wondering, why free version works fine?

One more thing - there's no birthdays in "Quick agenda widget" as well.

It is broken because I made some radical changes to the front/back end of the
quick agenda popup (to allow "use widget data sources", the loading of more
events and to make it prettier :)) and didn't test it properly :(

I will test Astrid, if I can duplicate the error I will fix it up asap!

I definitely tested Birthdays and they work. Something weird must be going on.

Any events (all day?) missing?

>Any events (all day?) missing?
Actually it shows only the fist one (as it is in the "Agenda widget"), so all
the rest is missing.

>I definitely tested Birthdays and they work. Something weird must be going on.
Although, birthdays are shown properly in the "Agenda widget", there's _no_
birthdays in the "Quick agenda widget".

Quick agenda widget or the quick agenda popup?

What timezone are you in?

Original comment by roflharr...@gmail.com on 5 Aug 2012 at 9:59

OK, I just tested both Astrid Tasks and Birthdays and they appear to work, so
there must be something different at your end that is causing the row order to
get messed up.

Any more info (e.g. timezone, missing events, screenshots) you can provide
would be very useful so I can fix this up as soon as possible. If you would
like to provide screenshots, feel free to email them to roflharrison@gmail.com.

Just sent two screenshots to your email address. The only thing that could be
different on my phone is that I don't use the default "My calendar" and Google
calendar, but Funambol only.
