Order of tasks / events not ideal (using Astrid as task app) #384

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Current order in Astrid (when "ordered by due date"):
1. tasks before 12:00
2. tasks with no time set
3. tasks after 12:00
4. (next day, the same)

Order in Agenda widget:
1. tasks with no time set
2. tasks with time

> This issue (Astrid tasks without time are ordered as if they were 12:00
tasks) is fixed in the development version. Astrid tasks are treated as all day
events (the same as the behavior before Astrid changed things around).

In earlier versions of Agenda widget, the tasks / events with a time appeared
on top.
This is what I would prefer. When you have many tasks on a day, you have to
scroll until you see the tasks/events WITH a time, which are likely to be more
important.

Now it's like you said, no time tasks appear on top.
Not so good for my taste, I think they should appear after timed tasks / events.
(Maybe with an option in agenda settings to switch this)

Sorting should be in AW 2.2, will report back when there is a dev version

With their recent update, Astrid seems to be fixed in this regard.
When sorted as "by due date", within a cluster of tasks for a day, all tasks
WITH time appear first.
Waiting for Agenda widget to do the same again... :)
