CFG v62 freezes at startup #104

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Have USB HDD plugged in.
2.Start CFG USB Loader.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: CFG loads up and detects HDD and displays games.
Instead: CFG freezes at start up screen before GUI is displayed.

What version of the loader are you using?
CFG v62

What is your System Menu version (e.g. 4.2u)?
4.1u

What is your media type (HDD, USB Flash, SD/SDHC)?
HDD

How is your media formatted (wbfs, fat32, ntfs)?
wbfs

Which cios are you using and which version (222, 249v??)?
249[38]v17 250[57]v20

Please provide any additional information below.
CFG loads if i keep the HDD disconnected and plug it in after the GUI is trying 
to connect to the HDD

I'm not sure what update fixed this problem but cfg63b2-compat did the trick!

The problem has occurred again but much less frequently.  it seems to work if i 
plug in the hdd right before the gui loads

Does it work with v63 or v63-compat or v63-222? (try all!)
If the drive is time-outing does it help if you press button 2 for ios reload?

Yes it still freezes with v63.  even though it is listed as a compatible hdd i 
believe it lies within the usb hdd and not your programing. i am going to try a 
new hdd in the future.

Drive support also depends on the cios used.
Some work better with hermes 222, some work better with wanin 249.
Also wanin 249 rev21 base 58 is something completely different.
Try all combinations and see what works best for you.
There's nothing else I can do.
