Beta 7 of the SDK breaks your library.

Not enough details in this issue report.  Be sure to add /usr/include/libxml2 to
header search paths and -lxml2 to linker flags for your project.

It was a combination of several things. Compilation of SVN required both the 
addition of the search paths, the 
linker flags, and to be set in C99 mode. Default for new project was C89 for 
some reason.
